  • Which vegan face mask is best for me?

The best face mask for you will ultimately depend on the skin concern you’re looking to treat. Our vegan and cruelty-free face masks are made with bentonite or kaolin clay, and are formulated for different purposes:

    • Brighten Up, Sunshine helps brighten, gently exfoliate, and moisturize skin to get rid of dead skin cells and reveal a soft, smooth complexion. It’s made with an invigorating blend of pineapple, coconut, apple, avocado, vitamin C and hyaluronic acid.
    • Glow Getter is a hydrating clay mask containing coconut, sandalwood, and bergamot to help hydrate and soften skin while getting rid of dullness and rough texture.
    • Pore Purifier is a clarifying mask particularly beneficial for those with oily or acne-prone skin since it helps control oil, visibly shrink and purify pores, and reduce blemishes with the help of tea tree, aloe, micro-silver, and Floralux from chlorophyll.

If you need additional help with determining which products are the best fit for you, take our Skincare Quiz and be matched with products in 3 minutes.

  • What is multi-masking?

Multi-masking involves using different masks on different areas of your face to give your skin the treatment it needs, where it needs it. Your skin gets multiple benefits through a single treatment!

To tackle enlarged pores, oiliness, or breakouts, apply a clarifying masque like our Pore Purifier. For many people, these skin concerns are concentrated in the T-zone, which includes the chin, nose, and forehead. If you have any dry or dull areas, apply a hydrating masque like our Glow Getter, then apply Brighten Up, Sunshine to any areas with uneven skin tone and texture.

If you need additional help with determining which products are the best fit for you, take our Skincare Quiz and be matched with products in 3 minutes.

  • How do I use a face mask properly?

Always start with freshly washed and toned skin. Apply a thin, even layer to your face using your fingertips or a brush. If using your hands, make sure they’re clean! Leave it on for 20-30 minutes (or as directed) and relax while the mask does all the hard work. Keep in mind that leaving a mask on for longer than directed won’t increase its effectiveness, but can cause dryness or irritation instead. Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water, pat your skin dry, and continue with the rest of your skincare routine.

  • How often should I use a face mask?

Because our vegan face masks are made with clay, using them too often can cause dryness or irritation. Use them up to twice weekly for best results but always keep a close eye on how your skin reacts while and after using a face mask. Depending on your skin, you may need to use face masks less frequently.

  • When should I apply a face mask in my routine?

To get the most out of your routine, it’s important to know how to apply skincare products in the proper order. Our vegan face masks should be used after washing your face with your favorite gentle face cleanser and toning your skin. Using them early in your routine allows the ingredients to penetrate the skin without the added barrier of other skincare products. After rinsing off the mask, continue with the rest of your routine, ending with sunscreen as the last step in the morning, and moisturizer as the last step at night.

  • What other face masks can I add to my routine?

While clay masks are our favorite, there are other types of masks that you can add to your skincare routine:

    • Mud masks: These masks usually have a clay base but are also rich in minerals, salts, and other natural elements that help keep skin healthy.
    • Sleep masks: Instead of being worn then removed or washed off, sleep masks are meant to be left on overnight so you can wake up to healthy, glowing skin.
    • Sheet masks: This type of mask is a single-use sheet that’s soaked in nourishing ingredients and allows for easy application and removal.
